Finally a reasonable, kid and adult friendly way to explain portions, balanced nutrition, and personal choices. I know we often distrust the FDA and USDA, assuming business interest has insinuated itself into important decision making. However, even with the caveat that the dairy does not need to be quite so prominent, I like this tool! Thanks, nutritionists!

Docs not tech savvy, or tech not doc savvy? | Survivor: Pediatrics

Docs not tech savvy, or tech not doc savvy? | Survivor: Pediatrics

Dr Sullo makes a nicely stated summary of how the federal push for EHRs *should* have been managed. I would call it an argument as to why the current free-market free-for-all in health IT is not the best answer to a very complex problem. If patients understood just how incompatible most computer systems are when it comes to data sharing, they would be impressed that we get anything shared at all! I do hope that the system will be rebuilt before too long. Truly, we cannot trust private health information and public interest to profit-driven companies.
